Updated Mailing Address Export
Navigate: Records > Batch Processes > Updated Mailing Address Export
Description
Use this task to export records to the Property Appraiser's FTP site (PANET) for appraiser processing and address verification and then imported back into Aumentum.
The Mailing Address Comparison report has been modified to select an option to create an export file for the most recent mailing address. In addition, the Legal Party Maintenance screen blocks address changes on the current year tax bill if it has been paid or if the legal party is the owner of a homesteaded property.
Steps
- On the Export Updated Mailing Address screen, enter the export start and end dates.
- Make a selection from the Tax Year drop-down list.
- Click Export in the Command Item bar.
- On the Monitor Batch Processes screen, you can monitor the process until it is complete. Click Refresh to view the current status. Click on the process to open the View Batch Process Details screen where you view details. When complete, that screen displays the message, Export Complete. Close the batch screens to return to this screen.
- Click Close to end the task.
Scenario Example
A legal party has two mailing addresses, one of which is a "snowbird" mailing address:
-
Mailing address 1 from 1/1/2010 till 6/30/2010
-
Mailing Address 2 from 7/31/2010 till 12/31/2010
If you make a change to mailing address 2 and you search between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2010. Previously, you would not have been able to successfully retrieve results. With this export, mailing address 2 now exports to the text file.
Let's say you make a change to:
-
Mailing address 2 on June 1.
-
Mailing address 1 on June 30.
Exporting for the above parameters now exports the mailing address 2 change as well as the mailing address 1 change.
NOTE: If there was no change made to the above addresses, then no records will be exported.
-
Define the export start/end dates and year on the Export Updated Mailing Address screen.
Prerequisites
Four new Records application settings define whether to use the PANET file layout. These are:
-
Mailing Address Export FTP file name
-
Mailing Address Export FTP server password
-
Mailing Address Export FTP server
-
Mailing Address Export FTP server user
Set these up via Configuration > Application Settings > Maintain Application Settings. Select Effective Date as the Setting type and Records as the Filter by module. Click Edit on the application setting and define the FTP file name, server password, server, and server user.
